Datto RMM setup instructions

API key + secret

To connect Dex to Datto RMM, you enable API access account-wide, then generate an API Key and API Secret Key on a user in the Datto RMM console.

Steps

1In Datto RMM, go to Setup → Global Settings → Access Control and turn on Enable API Access.
2Go to Setup → Users and open the account you want to use (ideally a dedicated API user).
3Click Generate API Keys to produce an API Key and API Secret Key.
4Copy the API Secret Key immediately — it is hidden once you navigate away and cannot be retrieved.
5Note the API URL now shown on that user's page — it identifies your platform/region.

Paste into Dex

The connection form in the Dex app store asks for these values:

API Key

API Secret Key

Hidden after you leave the page; regenerate if lost.

API URL (region)

Shown on the user page, e.g. merlot-api / vidal-api etc. under *.centrastage.net/api
