HaloITSM setup instructions

OAuth2 API application

To connect Dex to your HaloITSM instance, you need to create an API Application in HaloITSM.

Steps

1Log in to your HaloITSM Admin Portal.
2Navigate to Configuration > Integrations > Halo API.
3Select API Applications and click New.
4Configure the application — Application Name: Dex Integration; Active: enabled; Authentication Method: Client Credentials; Login Type: Agent (an agent with sufficient permissions, or a dedicated API agent).
5Go to the Permissions tab and grant the necessary API permissions (e.g., read:tickets, edit:tickets, read:crm, read:assets, read:kb, etc. — or all).
6Save the application and note down the Client ID and Client Secret.

Paste into Dex

The connection form in the Dex app store asks for these values:

Client Secret
