HaloPSA setup instructions

OAuth2 API application

To connect Dex to your HaloPSA instance, you need to create an API Application in your HaloPSA portal.

Steps
  1. 1Log in to your HaloPSA Instance as an administrator.
  2. 2Navigate to Configuration > Integrations > Halo API.
  3. 3Click on API Applications and select New to create a new application.
  4. 4Configure the application — Application Name: Dex Integration (or similar); Active: checked/enabled; Authentication Method: Client Credentials; Login Class: an appropriate Agent login class with permissions to manage tickets, clients, and agents.
  5. 5In the Permissions tab, grant the application the necessary API permissions (or select all).
  6. 6Click Save to generate your Client ID and Client Secret, then copy them.
Paste into Dex

The connection form in the Dex app store asks for these values:

Client ID
Client Secret
Tenant
Cloud-hosted instances only — found under Configuration > Integrations > Halo API.
