Okta setup instructions
API token To connect Dex to your Okta tenant, you need to generate an API token and locate your Okta domain.
Steps
- 1Log in to your Okta Admin Console.
- 2Navigate to Security > API > Tokens.
- 3Click Create Token, name it (e.g., "Dex Autonomous IT"), and copy the token value.
- 4Locate your Okta organization domain (e.g., your-org.okta.com or your-org.oktapreview.com from your browser's address bar).
Paste into Dex
The connection form in the Dex app store asks for these values:
Okta Domain
e.g. your-org.okta.com or your-org.oktapreview.com
API Token
Copy the token value when it is created.
