Addigy
Manage Addigy-enrolled Macs, iPhones, and iPads from plain-language requests.
Dex connects to Addigy through its REST API and lets MSP admins and employees run everyday Apple device-management operations in natural language — listing devices and online status, inspecting hardware and OS details, reviewing installed software and policy compliance, and triggering maintenance, scripts, and commands such as reboot — with per-customer policy scoping, full guardrails, and audit logging.
What Dex does with Addigy
Dex handles both admin workflows and employee self-service — all policy-guardrailed and audit-logged.
For admins (CoAdmin)
- List every Addigy-managed Mac, iPhone, and iPad with online/offline status and last-online time
- Drill into a device for hardware, OS version, serial number, and other inventory details
- Review installed software and applications on any managed device
- Inspect a device's policy membership and compliance against the assigned Addigy policy
- Browse the Addigy software catalog and push catalog software to devices
- Run maintenance and custom scripts on devices on demand
- Send device commands such as reboot to one or more devices
- Scope every operation per customer using Addigy policies so each customer's fleet stays isolated
For employees (self-service)
- Check whether your own Mac, iPhone, or iPad is online in Addigy
- Review the hardware and OS details Addigy reports for your device
- See which software and apps are installed on your own device
- Confirm your device is compliant with its assigned policy before contacting IT
Just ask Dex
Your team types a request in plain language. Dex investigates, plans, and executes — with the right guardrails.
Admin prompts
- >List every Mac in the "Acme - Production" policy that hasn't checked in today
- >Show me the installed software and OS version for device with serial C02XXXXXXXXX
- >Which devices in customer Acme's policy are out of compliance right now?
- >Push the latest Google Chrome from the software catalog to all iMacs in the "HQ" policy
- >Reboot the MacBook with serial C02YYYYYYYYY for end-of-day maintenance
Employee prompts
- >Is my Mac online in Addigy?
- >What OS version and hardware does Addigy see on my laptop?
- >Which apps are installed on my iPhone?
- >Is my device compliant with its policy?
Policy actions
Every action Dex can take on Addigy is declared, scoped, and guardrailed. Admins control which apply, who approves them, and whether they're limited to self-service.

|---|---|
addigy_list_devices | List managed Apple devices and their online status |
addigy_view_device | View device hardware, OS, inventory, and policy compliance details |
addigy_view_software | View installed software and browse the Addigy software catalog |
addigy_run_command | Send device commands such as reboot to managed devices |
addigy_run_script | Run maintenance scripts or push catalog software to devices |
How to configure Addigy
Onboarding takes minutes. Dex validates your credentials before saving them.
Setup steps
- 1Sign in to the Addigy admin as an account owner and open User Account / Account > API.
- 2Generate a new API key pair — Addigy issues a client_id and client_secret for REST API access.
- 3Decide which Addigy policies Dex should manage so per-customer scoping isolates each customer's devices.
- 4In Dex, enable the Addigy integration and paste the client_id and client_secret.
- 5Dex validates the credentials by listing devices before saving the connection.
- 6Configure policy actions (list_devices, view_device, view_software, run_command) with approval requirements as needed.
Credentials required
- client_id
- Addigy API client ID (User Account / Account > API)
- client_secret
- Addigy API client secret paired with the client ID (User Account / Account > API)
Requirements
- •Addigy subscription with at least one policy and enrolled Apple device
- •API key pair (client_id + client_secret) generated under User Account / Account > API
- •Account-owner or equivalent permission to create API keys
- •Devices organized into Addigy policies — policies are Addigy's equivalent of groups and drive per-customer scoping
- •Maintenance, scripts, and device commands require the target devices to be online to execute
