Dex Artifacts is a Dex Pro capability that turns an answer into a designed web page an admin can keep, share, or present. When the response is a ranked list, a cluster, a comparison, or a multi-section analysis, Dex builds an artifact: a clean, light-themed page with a titled header, headline numbers as key-figure cards, charts drawn in the Dex look, and detail tables. Dex decides when a result is worth a page - the admin does not have to ask. Turn it off and no new artifacts are created; existing ones keep working. This is an admin-facing Dex Pro feature and is not available in Dex Go.
What Dex does with Dex Artifacts
Dex handles both admin workflows and employee self-service — all policy-guardrailed and audit-logged.
For admins (Dex Pro)
- Turn a ranked list, comparison, or multi-section analysis into a designed page you can keep, share, or present
- Lead with the answer: the main finding stated up front, with 2-4 headline numbers as key-figure cards
- Draw charts in the Dex look - bar, column, stacked, donut, line, KPI cards, maps, and any Vega-Lite chart - each under a heading that says what it shows
- Add detail tables after the charts, with ticket and resource references as links
- Write a section per idea so a presentation reads as one slide per section
- Update an existing artifact in place - add, replace, rename, or remove a chart without rebuilding the page

Policy actions
Every action Dex can take on Dex Artifacts is declared, scoped, and guardrailed. Admins control which apply, who approves them, and whether they're limited to self-service.

How to configure Dex Artifacts
Onboarding takes minutes. Dex validates your credentials before saving them.
Setup steps
- 1Dex Artifacts is enabled by default and granted to Dex Pro users when they are created.
- 2No credentials or connection are required - it uses the data Dex already gathered to answer.
- 3In Dex, toggle the Dex Artifacts app off to stop creating new artifacts; existing artifacts keep working.
No extra credentials
This integration is covered by your Microsoft 365 tenant authorization to Dex. There are no per-app credentials to create or rotate.
