ConnectWise RMM (Asio)
Manage ConnectWise RMM endpoints on the Asio platform - devices, patches, and automation tasks across every customer.
Dex connects to ConnectWise RMM on the Asio platform through the Asio Platform REST API. Admins can inventory devices and endpoints across companies and sites, check per-endpoint patch status, browse the shared script and task libraries, schedule automation tasks onto endpoints, work service tickets, and inspect effective device policy - all conversationally. This complements the separate ConnectWise PSA (Manage) and ConnectWise Automate apps for MSPs running the newer Asio stack. Available as an MSP global app: one partner credential is shared, and each Dex tenant is confined to its ConnectWise company.

How to configure ConnectWise RMM (Asio)
Onboarding takes minutes. Dex validates your credentials before saving them.
Setup steps
- 1In the Asio portal, go to My ConnectWise Hub > Products > Asio Platform > Integrations > API Access and generate API access for Dex.
- 2Copy the Client ID and Client Secret - they are shown once at generation.
- 3Note your region (US, EU, or AU) - it determines the API host.
- 4In Dex, enable the ConnectWise RMM integration and paste the Client ID, Client Secret, and region.
- 5Dex validates the credentials with a live call before saving. For MSPs, deploy as a global app and map each customer tenant to its ConnectWise company id.
Credentials required
- client_id
- OAuth Client ID from the Asio portal API Access key
- client_secret
- OAuth Client Secret from the same API Access key (shown once; regenerating invalidates the old one)
- region
- Asio region - US, EU, or AU (determines the API host)
- company_id
- Optional ConnectWise company id - when set, every call is confined to that company (per-customer MSP isolation)
Requirements
- •ConnectWise RMM on the Asio platform with API Access generated (this is not the classic Automate API - use the ConnectWise integration for PSA + Automate)
- •An OAuth client-credentials key pair from the Asio portal
- •For MSPs, the integration deploys as a global app with per-tenant company scoping
