Run your Sherweb Service Provider billing conversationally - customers, catalogs, subscriptions, license changes, and orders.

Dex connects to the Sherweb Service Provider API so MSPs can manage customer billing without leaving the conversation. Read customer catalogs, platforms, subscriptions, meters, pricing, and receivable charges, then change license quantities, cancel subscriptions, and place new orders - with approval on every billing change. Deploys as an MSP global app: one shared Service Provider OAuth client and APIM subscription key covers every customer, and each Dex tenant is confined to its own Sherweb customer via a customer UUID. The MSP master connection can list the full customer roster; scoped child tenants see only their own data.

How to configure Sherweb

Onboarding takes minutes. Dex validates your credentials before saving them.

Setup steps

In the Sherweb Partner/Service Provider portal, create Service Provider API credentials (OAuth client id and client secret).

In the Sherweb Partner portal, obtain the Ocp-Apim-Subscription-Key (APIM subscription key).

In Dex, enable the Sherweb integration as an MSP global app and paste the client id, client secret, and subscription key on the master connection - leave the customer id blank.

Dex validates the credentials with a live call before saving, then discovery lists customers and maps each tenant to its Sherweb customer UUID.

On each tenant connection, set the customer id (UUID) discovered from the master roster so every call is confined to that customer.

Credentials required

client_id: Sherweb Service Provider OAuth client id
client_secret: Sherweb Service Provider OAuth client secret
subscription_key: Ocp-Apim-Subscription-Key (APIM subscription key) from the Sherweb Partner portal
customer_id: This tenant's Sherweb customer UUID - leave blank on the MSP master connection, set it on each tenant for per-customer isolation

Requirements

•A Sherweb Service Provider account with API credentials (OAuth client plus APIM subscription key)
•The MSP master connection lists the full customer roster; scoped child tenants are confined to their own customer and cannot list the roster
•License changes, cancellations, and orders are real billing changes and require approval by default
•For MSPs, deploy as a global app with one shared credential and per-tenant scoping by customer UUID
